Cleveland’s newest skyline addition, designed in SolidWorks!

That’s right folks, something new & exciting will be soon be illuminating the Cleveland skyline, and it was designed in SolidWorks! Mark Longrich will present this interesting project at our next meeting. What is it you ask? You’ll have to attend to find out, but I’ll give you some hints:

It’s perched atop a CSU building.
It loves a windy day.

We will also have an open period available for showing/sharing current projects. Please contact me in advance if you’re able to bring a project on a thumb drive or CD/DVD to share. You can also bring ‘challenging’ projects for discussion & troubleshooting help from your peers.

This month we have a meeting PACKED with SolidWorks information that I hope you find useful! We’ve shifted the schedule a bit to include some time for users who can’t attend an evening meeting. During the transition time, 4:30pm-6:00pm, you’ll have the opportunity to meet & network with other SolidWorks users, and learn about What’s New in SolidWorks 2012 & SolidWorks World Conference in San Diego (Feb 2012).

Topics for this meeting include Learning to Speak SolidWorks, Surfaces, Routing, and 3DVia Composer. Our technically gifted speakers include Tonia Lauer & Jonny Smoley from Fisher/Unitech, and Jordan Tadic from 3DVision Technologies. We’re also happy to have Larry Moore & Jim Ustar from SolidWorks Corp. joining us for the event.

November 14th Meeting

Our next meeting has been scheduled for Monday, November 14th, at Furnace Run park from 1pm until 8pm… yes, you read it correctly, 1pm until 8pm. We’re making an attempt to include those users who can’t attend our evening meetings. You’re probably asking, do I need to stay for the entire day? Of course not, but you’re welcome to! I will post an agenda soon, and you can attend the portion of the meeting that you like best.
